I had the joy of meeting Gladys Aylward, the missionary this movie tells about. Women in ministry still have a hard time being accepted by men and even by other women no matter how great their message and ministry are. This isn’t only unfair, it is unbiblical. God chose women throughout the Old Testament and throughout the New and used them in every biblical position except elder. Gladys did something very few men would have ever done. Under severe danger, she led over a hundred children across China and out to safety to flee the Communist takeover. She is a true hero of our faith. She is with our Lord now and has finally been given the full acceptance she should have had on Earth.
