If I didn’t know Ronald Reagan is in heaven, I would think he must be rolling in his grave. It was President Reagan who urged all Republican candidates never to speak negatively of each other. In all my seventy-nine years, I have never seen such a colossal food fight as is going on right now in the Republican Party.

Last night, after the votes were counted in New Hampshire, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders walked away with all the prizes. They won by landslides over the other candidates, no doubt burying many of them. Instead of doing a victory lap today, many of the Republican’s sore losers are trying to figure out a way to dump Trump.

Republican moderates, the elites who up until this time have controlled many years of choosing who would represent them in the general election, are frustrated, angry, double talking, and scared. After Cruz placed first in Iowa and now third in liberal New Hampshire, if the moderates could somehow succeed in throwing Donald Trump under the bus, they know they would still have Cruz to contend with, and they don’t like him either. Trump and Cruz are the two abrasive candidates who most refuse to toe the party line.

There are already casualties among the Republican candidates the day after New Hampshire. Carly Fiorina, somehow treated like a nobody by ABC in not allowing her to participate in Saturday night’s debate, has this morning suspended her campaign. Maybe ABC forgot she was the only other woman besides Hillary who was running, in case someone really did want a woman President this time. Not that that would matter to the over thirty-year-old women’s rightists who never ever mind being women wrongists to all women who dare be anything but liberal. For women’s rightists it’s “Hillary or the highway”. I point it out again, in case they didn’t notice, Carly IS a woman and might have been the first woman president. But today Carly Fiorina dropped out and is no longer available.

This afternoon Chris Christie also dropped out. He spent eighteen million dollars in New Hampshire and it did him no good at all. He all but said so when he spoke to his New Hampshire crowd following his sixth place showing last night. And Christie shows the price the whole Republican Party almost certainly will have to pay if they try to trip up Trump or Cruz. Christie tried that during Saturday night’s Republican debate with Marco Rubio and found out when the vote count was in at the New Hampshire primary that he had broken his own leg. Marco finished fifth with 11% of the vote. Christie placed a distance sixth with only 8% of the vote. Robert Murdoch who owns Fox news network called Chris Christie – “the Suicide Bomber!” If the Republican Party is ridiculous enough to try to stop their two front runners in any way, the Republican Party is very apt to be committing suicide too.

So now, let’s look at the vote count for both the Republican and Democratic party. The first thing that’s obvious is the two candidates who, by far, received the most votes from New Hampshire – Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders – couldn’t be further apart with everything they they stand for.

Trump is a multibillionaire, Sanders hates every wealthy American. Trump is a businessman who has been oober-successful and has carefully planned out with other hired experts each area he wants to explore. Whether federally or internationally, he only works with the best in exploring the possibility of an investment. You hear him, for example, saying that he would consult with our top generals and listen to them as they explain the very best way to destroy Isis, Al Qaeda, Boko Haram, and all the other enemies this world is facing right now. As president, that’s how he would decide on each issue, only after careful examination by those who have proven themselves experts and whom he respects. The “HUGE” wall would be built by only the very best wall builders and undoubtedly paid for by Mexico. Trump is always known for keeping his word.

Bernie Sanders is as outspoken as Donald Trump or Ted Cruz. Bernie’s smile would charm the birds off the trees. When he has debated Hillary Clinton he has done so with kid gloves. But especially after his gigantic win over her in New Hampshire and losing only by a coin flip with her in Iowa, look for his kid gloves to be gone. For now, Bernie Sanders as the front runner of the Democratic Party will attempt to do with Hillary whatever he must do to beat her. Likable, cute, friendly, and persuasive, Bernie has hidden his tough side until now. Watch for it in the next Democrat debate.

But Bernie has weaknesses Hillary can use to her advantage if he does get tough. Bernie is focused on only a few things that matter to him. He is a person who is weak in planning entire strategies. For example, he has never mentioned any plan for stopping the terrorists in or out of America. He welcomes illegal immigrants as warmly as President Obama and Jerry Brown do. As a president, he would be much more of a “let the chips fall where they may” kind of guy. If it’s true that President Obama leads from behind, it would be far more true of Bernie that he leads from way behind.

South Carolina’s primary on the 20th (the Republicans) and the 27th (the Democrats) will answer a whole lot of questions. From the Democrat side, will Hillary vacuum up the black and Latino votes or will Bernie arrive there with unstoppable momentum? On the Republican side, barring something completely unforeseen now, Donald Trump has a huge lead. You can well bet most evangelicals have already decided between Trump or Cruz, and their decisions have been counted in the polls. So have the poll numbers for Doctor Ben Carson and they foretell that he, too, will be a dropout very soon.

The Democrat caucus (not a primary) in Nevada is on February 20th and the Republican caucus in Nevada is on February 27th. Three days after the Republican caucus, March will come in like a lion. More than a dozen states will hold their primaries on March 1st. It is probable that suddenly in both parties, after March 1st the Republican race will be left with just two candidates to decide on, just as the Democrat race does now.

It remains to be seen whether America is to be made more wonderful than it has ever been because of so many plans that are HUGE, or whether America will be on Cruz control. Or will Wall Street be laid so flat it can’t even lay an egg? Or will Queen Hillary finally receive her coronation?

America’s voters – we the people – will soon decide who will be the last candidate standing.

Carly Fiorina (born Cara Carleton Sneed, September 6, 1954) is an American Republican politician and former business executive who currently chairs the non-profit philanthropic organizationGood360.^[11][12]

In 1980, Fiorina started at AT&T and its equipment and technology spin-off, Lucent Technologies, and rose through the ranks to become an executive. As chief executive officer of Hewlett-Packard (HP) from 1999 to 2005, she was the first woman to lead a top-20 company as ranked by Fortunemagazine.^[13]

In 2002, Fiorina oversaw what was then the largest technology sector merger in history, in which HP acquired rival personal computer manufacturer Compaq. The transaction made Hewlett-Packard, the surviving company, the world’s largest seller of PC’s.^[14][15] During Fiorina’s tenure, HP laid off 30,000 U.S. employees. By 2004, the number of total HP employees around the world was about the same as the pre-merger total of HP and Compaq combined, and that 2004 number included roughly 8,000 employees of other companies acquired by HP since 2001 as well as workers overseas.^[16][17][18] On February 9, 2005, the HP board of directors forced Fiorina to resign as chief executive officer and chair due to declining stock value, disappointing earning reports, disagreements about the company’s performance, and her resistance to transferring authority to division heads.^[19][20][21]

After leaving HP, Fiorina served on the boards of several organizations. She was an adviser toRepublican Senator John McCain‘s 2008 presidential campaign. She ran for the United States Senatein California in 2010 and won a three-person race for the Republican nomination, but lost the general election to incumbent Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer by 10 percentage points.^[22][23]

On May 4, 2015, Fiorina announced her candidacy for the Republican nomination in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.^[3]

When Carly Fiorina told her father, law professor Joseph Tyree Sneed III, that she’d decided to drop out of law school after her first year at UCLA, he shook his head and said he didn’t think she’d amount to much. Carly, her artist mother, Madelon Montross, and her two siblings moved frequently thanks to her father’s wide-ranging career. She attended five different high schools, including one in Ghana. Ascent at AT&T

Interested in the developing field of network communications, Fiorina surprised her co-workers by joining the male-dominated Network Systems division. At age 35, she became the division’s first female officer, and five years later was named head of North American sales. She combined an appreciation of new technologies with powerful sales instincts, which won the attention of top brass at AT&T. In 1996, the company decided to spin off its Western Electric and Bell Labs divisions into a new company. Carly was tagged to spearhead the effort. Under her guidance, the spin-off, dubbed Lucent, became one of the most successful IPOs (Initial Public Offerings) in U.S. history, raising $3 billion.

Carly’s first marriage ended in divorce. In 1985, she married AT&T executive Frank Fiorina who put his own career on the slow track in order to support hers. He predicted early on that she would run a big company someday, and he pledged to help her. Retired in 1998, he devotes his time to yachting, caring for their dogs, and accompanying Fiorina on business trips.

Lucent Executive

By 1998, when Fortune dubbed Carly Fiorina the most powerful woman in business, she was president of Lucent’s Global Service Provider division, the company’s core business unit.  Fiorina found success meeting the rising demand for network technology from American businesses. Under her watch, the company’s market share increased in every region for every product.

Some reports, however, indicate that Fiorina’s accomplishments at Lucent may be overstated. A Fortune magazine claimed that the company implemented a number of questionable financial practices during her time there. For instance, a deal with PathNet managed by Fiorina involved loaning them small business money and giving them Lucent equipment at no cost. Writer Scott Woolley explained that “money from the loans began to appear on Lucent’s income statement as new revenue while the dicey debt got stashed on its balance sheet as an allegedly solid asset.” Harvard professor Rakesh Khurana said that “Lucent’s success had more to do with loose credit terms and creative accounting than any reinvention of the company as the Second Coming of Cisco,” according to the New York Times.

Tenure at Hewlett-Packard

In the summer of 1999, Hewlett-Packard took note of Fiorina’s exceptional ability to manage growth in the quickly changing technology field and tagged her to replace retiring president and CEO Lewis Platt. Fiorina achieved the notable distinction of being the first woman to take the lead at a Fortune 20 company. She also made a remarkable deal when making the switch from Lucent to HP. HP gave her $65 million in stock to join the company and leave behind a reported $85 million in Lucent options and stock. But those Lucent shares did not hold their value for long. The company began to unravel not long after Fiorina’s departure.

Fiorina quickly became a highly visible CEO making several major changes at HP: she streamlined operations combining several different units into fewer, more manageable units. She shook up the sales staff with the mandate “shape up or ship out.” Fiorina also helped make HP a leader in charitable giving. She launched HP’s “Technology for Teaching” program and established programs in other countries to “help bridge the digital divide between technology empowered and technology-excluded communities.”

However, Fiorina made a controversial move in the wake of the dotcom bubble bursting. On September 3, 2001, she announced HP’s merger with Compaq Computers, a decision opposed by the HP founders’ sons Walter Hewlett and David Packard. A week later terrorists attacked the United States on September 11, and Fiorina was called on to provide her assistance as HP CEO. Michael Hayden, the director of the National Security Agency (NSA), asked Fiorina to provide the NSA with high-tech equipment needed to carry out the surveillance agency’s work in the wake of the terrorist attacks. Fiorina re-routed a retail shipment of HP equipment to the NSA to accommodate this request.

The Compaq merger continued to place Fiorina’s executive decisions in question. A year-and-a-half after the merger, Fiorina claimed victory announcing that HP was a cutting-edge company and industry leader in all business categories. However, business analysts observed that HP really hadn’t changed much. Eighty percent of profit still came from the printer division, morale was down and, in 2004, several top executives left the company.

In January 2005, the Hewlett-Packard board of directors met with Carly Fiorina to discuss the company’s performance. She rejected a proposed plan to transfer her authority to division heads and a month later she resigned as chair and CEO of HP. Her departure was widely covered in the news media with supporters and critics weighing in.

Political Activity

After leaving HP, Fiorina wrote her autobiography Tough Choices in 2006, chronicling her career and views on leadership, women in business, and the role of technology in the world. She was named to several corporate boards including Kellogg Co. and Merck & Co. She also found herself working again with Michael Hayden, who by then had been appointed the director of the Central Intelligence Agency by President George W. Bush. In 2007, Hayden selected Fiorina to chair the CIA’s External Advisory Board. In this role, Fiorina received the highest security clearance and led a board of various experts from different fields, who advised senior CIA leaders on national security issues.

She also became a commentator for Fox News and, in 2008, served as a consultant to John McCain’s 2008 U.S. Presidential campaign. In 2009, Fiorina announced she was running for the U.S. Senate in California. She secured the Republican nomination, running against incumbent Democrat Senator Barbara Boxer in November 2010 election. Boxer emerged victorious after attacking Fiorina for her executive decisions while at Hewlett-Packard including layoffs and job outsourcing. Despite her loss, she continued to advocate for Republican causes.

Presidential Ambitions

In May 4, 2015, Fiorina announced her bid for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. She announced her plans to run on her record at Hewlett-Packard, citing that her role as CEO gives her solid preparation to make decisions required of a world leader. During her announcement, she reiterated her criticism of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, describing her as a professional politician and questioning her honesty.

It is likely Fiorina will be the only female presidential candidate from the Republican Party. Though considered a long shot by political insiders, many feel that because she is female, she is in a unique position to criticize Clinton without being charged with gender bias. However, her strategy of running on her business record will face questions of her business decisions at HP, the large number of lay-offs made during her tenure, and being forced out by the HP board.

With a crowded field of initially 17 contenders, Fiorina was one of seven candidates with lower poll numbers who participated in an early August forum right before the first Republican debate connected to the 2016 election cycle. Her strong performance at the debate between second-tier candidates made headlines with some political pundits calling her an underdog winner. After the debate Fiorina told Fox News Sunday: “We certainly have seen an uptick in financial support. We’ve seen an uptick in support generally and so, it’s very exciting.”

Fiorina moved up in the polls and was invited to join the main stage for the second Republican debate on September 16. She was the only women in a field of 10 men, and delivered a strong performance that the New York Timescalled “steely, self-assured and at times deeply personal.” Fiorina offered detailed responses regarding her position on U.S. relations with Iran and Russia, defunding Planned Parenthood, and she defended her business record at Hewlitt-Packard. When asked to respond to fellow presidential candidate Donald Trump’s comment about her in Rolling Stone magazine, in which he said “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that?”, Fiorina said, “I think women all over this country heard really clearly what Mr. Trump said.”

Most Democrats Believe Illegal aliens should vote in American elections.

The United States has already taken in one-fourth of Mexico’s entire population — and maybe a lot more.

Carly Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard said this week:”Our Founding Fathers never intended for us to have a professional political class.” ~~  Deaths, gang activity surge as illegal aliens flood border, 30,000 expected.

Marco Rubio said this week homosexual same-sex marriage is a “clear and present danger to Christianity.”

Scientists confirm there has been no global warming in the past 28 years. Common Core Curriculum teaches kindergarten through grade 12 that global warming is man-made but does not teach that 30,000 scientists signed a declaration that global warming is just a lot of hot air.

Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican secretary of state and the Pope’s top lieutenant, said that Ireland’s vote to allow homosexual marriage was a “defeat for humanity.”

New York Times declares that traditional marriage is “absurd.”

The President’s Continuing Legal Problems

     President Obama for six years has sought to bypass Congress and create new laws through executive actions. However, now several of those actions are tied up in the courts.

     Same-sex marriage, Obmacare, Climate Change — all are before the U. S. Supreme Court. And then there is immigration. This week the Fifth U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals dealt the President a stunning defeat saying his executive order granting amnesty to five million illegal aliens was illegal. The case ultimately will also before the Supreme Court.

     Comment: President Obama has ruled like a dictator rather than a man elected by WE THE PEOPLE. He has ruled as though he is above the law rather than abiding by the law. Now his arbitrary decisions — and his legacy — are in jeopardy.

 

Rethinking Those Military Tributes at Ballparks

     There are some new doubts about all those military tributes at National Football League games and other ballparks.

     Most of us feel a real surge of patriotism when we see the patriotic celebrations before the games begin. I am always impressed by the giant American flag that covers most of the playing field and the military personnel in their uniforms. I thought the ceremonies were a tribute to the owners of the various teams and a revelation of their patriotism.

     But voila! Now we learn that the Pentagon has been paying the professional sports teams for the ceremonies. Pentagon officials have not told us he truth of the matter.

       Comment: I decry the idea of paid patriotism! The owners of the professional football and baseball teams are some of the wealthiest men and women in America. They pay their players obscene amounts of money, some in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Yet you and I — Mr. and Mrs. Taxpayer — have to pay for them to be patriotic. Amazing.

 

Rev. Franklin Graham: Gates’ Call to Allow Homosexual Scout Leaders Puts Scouts at Risk

     Last week Robert Gates, president of the Boy Scouts of America, voiced his support for homosexual scout leaders.

     However, Newsmax reports the Reverend Franklin Graham says such action would place the young scouts “at risk.”

     “Robert Gates, shame on you for not having the moral courage to do what is right,” Graham said.

     “What are you thinking?” Graham wrote in response to Gates. He added, “We shouldn’t shift as the winds of cultural change blow through society; we need to stand for God’s truth and things that are morally right…This move is bending to LGBT activist groups…”

     Graham encouraged every former Boy Scout and every parent involved in the Boy Scouts to let Robert Gates know how displeased you are and that if he leads the organization down this road, “they may lose their support, their participation — and your sons.”

     Comment: Last week we reported that the Boy Scouts of America has dozens of cases of scout leaders who in the past sexually abused young scouts. I can’t imagine any mother or father who would feel comfortable sending their sons on camping trips with homosexual scout leaders.

Ferguson Protesters Paid to Protest

     Remember the terrible riots in Ferguson, Missouri?

     According to Newsmax many of the protesters were paid to go to Ferguson and wreak havoc.

Ultra Left wing billionaire George Soros — one of President Obama’s strongest supporters and in whose home Chelsea Clinton was married — funded many of the rioters through the organization known as Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment (MORE) and offered protesters $5,000 a month to go to Ferguson and join in the looting and the burning.

     The Washington Times reports that some 500 protesters from Boston, Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Nashville, Portland, Tucson, Washington, D.C., and Winston-Salem, North Carolina rushed to Ferguson — believing they were to be paid $5,000 — to join in the rioting and destruction of property.

     However, some of the rioters are now protesting because MORE has not paid them.

     Comment: George Soros wants to turn this country into a Western-European-type socialist government and is spending millions of dollars to accomplish his evil designs. However, it appears to me for him to pay people to riot is inciting a riot and he ought to be prosecuted for what he has done. But being a close friend of President Obama and Bill and Hillary Clinton, that’s not likely.

 

Feds to Provide Internet Service for Low-Income Families

     According to the Hill the Federal Communications Commission plans to help low-income families pay for internet service as part of the fraud-ridden Lifeline program that already provides cell phones to this group.

     The program just for phones — and the monthly service — costs taxpayers nearly $2 billion a year and has been racked with lingering waste, the Hill pointed out.

     They continued “The program received harsh criticism during President Obama’s first term due to fraud and abuse that stemmed from the expansion to mobile phones.”

     Investigators learned that there was $500 million in fraud in the phone program by those ineligible who received the phones.

     Comment: When I was a boy, my mom and dad couldn’t afford a phone, but we got by just fine. But today, liberals in government believe that all low-income families in this land deserve mobile phones and some 12 million have received them. So the taxpayers take another hit.

     Now the liberal FCC plans to help the low-income families with internet service. Yet, as usual, they leave us with several questions:

     Why is the internet service necessary?

     Who will purchase the computers for them?

     Will this program also be racked with fraud?

     One thing that characterizes liberals/progressives is how many people are on some kind of government programs. The internet service program will add a lot of people. And again, taxpayers take a hit.

 

Ann Coulter: Immigration Most Important Issue Facing America Today

     New York Times bestselling  author and political activist Ann Coulter has written a new book entitled Adios America/the Left’s Plan to Turn Our Country into a Third World Hell Hole.

     The Breitbart News Network says in her book Coulter is “more fearless than ever” as she takes on the issue of illegal immigration.

     Breitbart reports In Adios, America  she attacks the groups she says are the most fervent supporters of amnesty for illegal aliens. That group includes “La Raza, the Democrats, a media determined to cover up immigrants’ crimes, churches that get paid by the government for the ‘charity,’ and greedy Republican businessmen and campaign consultants — all of whom are profiting handsomely from mass immigration that is tearing this country apart.”

     Comment: At last, someone has the courage to “tell it like it is.” Ann Coulter is that person.
