The Grand Weaver by Ravi Zacharias: Intro and Ch 1 Your DNA Matters
The first paragraph of Ravi’s introduction is so true it’s painful. He writes “Out of the thousands of letters that I receive each year, many from skeptics, a recent one stands out. The writer asks simply “Why has God made it so difficult to believe in Him? If I love somebody and had infinite power, I would use that power to show myself more obviously. Why has God made it so difficult to see His presence and His plan?” Ravi then admits “This is a fair and haunting question.” The rest of the chapters in this book, including this one, give real answers for hard questions just like this. Jesus And Other gods by Ravi Zacharias: Intro and Ch 1 Climbing A Massive Wall

Outside of choosing either of my two sons to sit and listen to as they preach, I would most want to hear Ravi Zacharias. Born in India, he is my very favorite Christian apologist (not one who apologizes, but one who knows the biblical answers in defense of all attacks against the Bible and the claims of Christ.) Whether you believe the Bible or not, please listen as Ray shares Ravi’s teaching. You’ll see why Ray is such a fan of his and why you will soon be too. Ray will begin reading this book right now.

Imagine the challenge of trying to hold a crowd of millennial intellectuals and their professors and students – while you speak from the Bible to them in a huge hall at Dartmouth! Ravi Zacharias makes it look easy as he also challenges the way these people have gotten into a habit of thinking and speaking and carefully shows them why and how they need to change. Here’s Ravi….. –Ray

The Problem With Suffering And The Goodness Of God- Ravi Zacharias

Imagine the assignment of speaking to the doctors, nurses, and patients at Johns Hopkins University, the foremost University in America for training in the medical field. That was Ravi Zacharias’s assignment. And the subject they gave him to speak on was “The Problem With Suffering And The Goodness Of God”. Only Ravi could answer the questions so profoundly and yet speak in a way that is so easily understandable.

Why does God allow nuclear warfare to wipe out innocent people? Why does He allow cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and a plethora of other dreadful life–debilitating and life-taking sicknesses? Why would He allow plagues that wipe out millions of people? Doesn’t God care?

Isn’t Christ wanting to stop all sickness and disease as He did while he was ministering on Earth? And why on Earth would he allow nuclear bombs and weapons of mass destruction? Why would He allow a horror filled final tribulation of seven years? Does our God really love us? Is he really a good God? Does God really love you? Watch Ravi speak and give you God’s answers for all these things and much much more. –Ray

Three of God’s general’s are together at the tenth Vero Beach prayer breakfast. Pat and Wintley will begin and Ravi will conclude. You may never hear any greater messages on prayer and its power than this.

Larry and I know prayer is the key to a relationship with Christ that nothing else matches except the equal urgency of not just reading, but studying the Bible daily. That’s why we follow up our show today with the very best on this subject. –Ray

Ravi Zacharias - Has your Christian experience failed you?

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Phelps_posse.jpg

Are you ready for some Christian-shocking statistics in the midst of your Thanksgiving celebration?  The reason I ask is because Larry and I are concerned about Christian dropouts who won’t thank God today or celebrate Christ during this Christmas season or anytime following it. Why won’t they? What has happened that made them seemingly lose their faith in Christianity or Christ?

Here are the extremely accurate statistics in America from the Francis A Schaeffer Institute of Church Leadership Development who had been doing a thorough study since 1998 that began as a study by Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California in 1992:

Every year 4000 churches close their door forever. A little more than 1000 churches begin.

Every year 2.7 million people who have been going to church drop out and then stay away from all churches.

The three major reasons given by church dropouts are

1. They felt  hurt and abused by the church.

2. They were disillusioned by their hopes of what they thought they church would be for them at the beginning..

3. They don’t believe the church cared about them at all.

The United States now ranks third in the nation’s with citizens who say they are Christians. China is now first and India is now second.

Half of all churches in America have not increased the membership in their congregation in the past two years.

The number of Americans who regularly attend a church service at least once a week is between 40 and 50%.

The number of Canadians who regularly attend a church service at least once a week is 20%.

The number of Europeans who regularly attend a church service at least once a week is  8%.

The United States Census Bureau shows only half the number of church attenders that churches report nationwide.

In spite of all these sad reports, there are still a very few growing denominations in America. They include

Calvary Chapel and the Assemblies of God.

Ravi Zacharias is about to tell us why these statistics are not only true, but answer the question “If people believe their Christian experience has failed them, what does that say about Jesus Christ today?” But first, we are going to hear from some of those who have dropped out. Ray
