A Tidal Wave Has Washed Many Democrats Out Of Office

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/images.jpg

It has been called a “wave” that hit the Democrats last night as a result of the midterm elections. If so, it was a Tidal Wave that will pull several of the Democrat incumbents completely out of office in January. That will give the Senate a brand-new look with at least seven more Republican members in the Senate than the Democrats will have. And with a couple of races still not decided, the Republican number there may be even larger.

But if the Senate had a Tidal Wave, the House of Representatives and the governorships throughout America last night experienced a tsunami. Come January there will be 30 Republican governors and only 20 Democrat governors in charge of the 50 states.

The one question many in the news media have been asking throughout this day is “Were the midterm results really a win for the Republicans or was it a loss by the Democrat candidates who avoided President Obama throughout their races as if he had the Ebola virus?”

No one can really blame the Democrat candidates for not wanting to be seen with a lame-duck president before the election who has bare face lied to all America many times; who has covered up scandal after scandal while denying there were any scandals – “not even a smidgen”; who has made several huge mistakes that have cost human lives; and, according to what he said at his press conference today, believes that two thirds of our nation’s voters stayed home because they believed he is doing a good job as our president. That response was either delusional or terribly terribly wrong

The truth is, “Change” is exactly what America’s voters asked for at the ballot box yesterday. Not the “change” Obama promised in his 2008 campaign when so many of those who voted for him for the first time thought they were voting for the Messiah. But a change in our president’s policies. 65% of those voters interviewed in exit polling said they fully believe Barack Obama has our nation “on the wrong track.” In fact, if this had not been a midterm election but a vote on our president with just one question – “Do you want President Obama to finish out his next two years in office?”; it is highly likely the same kind of tsunami that will now shove so many Democrats out of office, would have shoved out President Obama.

Surprisingly, it was Obama-faithful Senate majority leader Harry Reid’s chief of staff, David Krone, who told the Washington Post last night when speaking of our president, “We were never going to get to the same page. We were beating our heads against the wall.” Krone laid the Democrat massacre directly at the feet of President Obama.

The Democrat spin on their midterm disaster is that historically the party not in power in the White House loses seats in Congress and the opposition party takes charge of Congress. But this doesn’t explain away how the largest amount of House Representatives since 1946 swept both the House and the Senate clear with a gigantic broom. Nor does it explain how Republican governors in blue states like Maryland and Massachusetts will now be replacing Democrat governors. Nor does it explain how for the first time in 141 years, the Republican Party will hold every seat in the legislature in the state of Arkansas. Nor does it explain so much more damage that can be rightly placed at President Obama’s feet.

America must face the fact that it has a president who believes that whatever he says is true, whether it is true or not. “If you want to keep your doctor you can keep your doctor. Period.” “The so-called ‘scandals’ in my administration are all ‘phony scandals’.” “I am drawing a red line in the sand and if Syria crosses it it will suffer the consequences.” Etc. etc. etc.

With all that said, winning congressional elections is not like winning the World Series. If a team wins the World Series they can then go home and rest on their laurels until spring training. But now that the Republicans have won their midterms, they are going to have to step up to the plate and produce some America-pleasing decisions that will override Mister Obama’s pen and phone. No longer can they be the party of no. Instead, if they want a win like this to be of any lasting importance for their party they are going to have to come up with some plans and turn them into bills that will go to the president’s desk. And they must prove that they can work across the aisle with the remaining Democrats and convince the majority of them to override any vetoes the president may give those bills.

Now that the last hurrah is over and the acceptance speeches have been made, those who voted in America for the winning candidate’s must now see that their votes were tremendously worthwhile. Otherwise this will turn out to be only a blip on the Republican happiness screen.

The results of the midterm election by and large were more against stopping the kind of changes President Obama has been making in our nation and honestly working to bring healing to the economy instead of endlessly spending money on Solyndra-like giveaways; stop the president from lying to the public that the economy is improving while America has 19 million Americans no longer even looking for a job; to secure America’s borders and keep America safe by stopping the terrorists both here and overseas; and to find answers to scandals in the Obama administration that makes it appear that Richard Nixon had no reason at all to resign.

So many questions about these midterms will be answered in the next few weeks, but the Republicans are going to have to hit the ground running to prove that voting for them was the right thing to do.

The Tallest Skyscraper In America Has Just Opened

With all the attention of television news focused on the midterm elections, one story has nearly slipped through the cracks. It’s up and up and up and up so high that, like the Twin Towers that were called the World Trade Center, it is the tallest skyscraper in America, its welcome mat is now in place and it is open for business.

The Center officially opened on Tuesday (November 3rd), thirteen years after radical Muslim terrorists murdered more than 2700 people by flying their planes into the Twin Towers, causing them to collapse. Originally called the Freedom Tower, One World Trade Center has been built in honor of all those who died that day – September 11, 2001 – their families and all who loved them. It is also meant to stand as a symbol of America’s greatness, saying to all the world that even if we our nation is knocked down hard, we will rise up again stronger than ever. It was built with reinforced concrete to add a strength to the One Freedom Tower that the Twin Towers never had. It took eight years to complete and there are six more buildings that will ultimately accompany it and are in various stages of development.

For many years New York boasted of having the tallest building in the world – the Empire State building. Then Chicago topped it with the Sears Building and more recently two buildings in Dubai were built higher still. The Sears Building, which is now called the Willis Building, held the “tallest building in America” title for more than forty years. But today New York once again has their title back.

For those who would quibble, the Freedom Tower is not the first but the fourth tallest building in the world. But who can quibble with a 1,776 foot building 104 stories high and that cost 3.9 billion dollars to erect? And be sure to catch the significance of its height – 1776 has a great deal of meaning to all Americans.

The One World Trade Center stands exactly where the collapse of the original World Trade Center occurred. Its eventual seven buildings will all be located on 16 acres of land surrounding them and will be used for a myriad of businesses just as the former World Trade Center was. 60% of the building just completed is already leased by various companies .

The mass media company Condé Nast actually moved into One World Trade Center in 2010 and are currently located in five of its stories. On the northeast corner of the Center is the September 11 Memorial and the Freedom Museum displaying photographs, films, and important memorabilia from the tragedy of 9/11.

From the observation platform that will soon be open at the Freedom Tower, it will be possible to see the Statue of Liberty, parts of Connecticut and New Jersey, and will offer a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey own the building and the entire 16 acres. Patrick Foye, Executive Director of the Port Authority, said as the One World Trade Center opened “The New York City skyline is whole again, One World Trade Center takes its place in Lower Manhattan.”

Election Day: Vote For The Future Of America

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/election-day-vote-for-the-future.jpg

This is election day 2014 and people are heading for the polls all across America to determine whether Democrats or Republicans will be governmentally in charge of the United States at the very least for the the next two years of major decision-making that will affect you, your children. your family, your neighbors, your church, your city, your state, and your country.

Hello America. Hello world.

From the headquarters of reachmorenow.com in Fort Worth, Texas, this is Ray Mossholder and this is the news.

The national voter turnout is expected to be far larger than in most other midterm election years because so much is at stake. Already a record number of absentee ballots have flooded election headquarters all across our land. The election day saying is “If you don’t vote at all, you won’t count at all.”

President Obama has made it clear that a vote for a Democrat candidate is a vote for Obama’s policies to continue and expand, putting such things as amnesty; the military; the Keystone pipeline and jobs; healthcare; religious rights; how the United States will deal with stopping or destroying ISAL and the other terrorist organizations; the wars in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan; whether Iran is allowed to continue development of its nuclear power; America’s relationship with Israel; the strong possibility of appointing one or even two either liberal or more conservative Supreme Court justices as well as federal judges in America who will make decisions for our nation for decades. The results of this election will keep the economy in the hands of President Obama and the Democrat Party or give the Republicans the power to control federal spending.

If the Republican candidates can gain control of the Senate and keep control of the House they will no longer have to be “the do-nothing party,” where so many of their bills have not even been allowed on the Senate floor because they have been squashed by Nevada Democrat Senate Majority Whip Harry Reed.

On the other hand, if the Republicans lose tonight, it is clear that it will be many to years from now before they will be able to strongly rise to power again.

Although each vote is vital in every state to determine the winners in each state, there are eight battleground states that most likely will most affect what is going to happen to the Senate and in the Oval Office for the next two years. These states are locked in such close contests that they are within three percentage points of each other: Alaska, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, New Hampshire and North Carolina. With Independents and Libertarians also running on several state ballots there is the real possibility that some of these elections will be run again by the top two contenders if neither candidate wins at least 50% of the vote. Those runoffs would occur in December or January.

There are also a number of tight governors races taking place today. The tightest seven of them all are in Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

Polls show that the Republicans have a slight edge in winning the Senate while keeping the House. Of course, polls can be wrong, very wrong. Today voters in all states will decide who will represent them in Congress and decide who will be governor in 36 states. Be sure to make your will known by voting unless you’ve already sent in your ballot. Your vote will matter.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

How can the government know what Americans want

if Americans don’t tell them what they want?

That’s what voting is for.

The Diary of Anne Frank – Movie of the Week

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/annefrank.jpg

The book “The Diary of Anne Frank” has been one of the most read books in history. If you’ve read it, you know the story. If you haven’t, you can see it now. But this is much more than the book because it goes beyond it. It is undoubtedly the most complete story of Anne in movie form. Whether you have read the book or not, you’re going to love and long remember this movie. Vow to never let this happen in your own country. –Ray
