Vicki called a meeting of the Young Trib Force in Wisconsin. The underground hideout was overcrowded with new arrivals, and everyone knew some would eventually have to move to another hiding place. Vicki explained the situation with Claudia and, though there was intense discussion, they agreed that Mark and Vicki would accompany Manny back to Des Plaines in hopes of bringing Claudia to safety.

Vicki stressed the importance of prayer, and everyone agreed there would be someone in a designated room praying while they were gone.

“We’ve received another message from Doctor Ben Judah,” Vicki said.

“Nobody else has died, have they?” Charlie said.

“No. This is a message he wants everyone to hear. I’ll leave it for you to read, but I want to stress a couple of his points.

“Tsion says Nicolae has scheduled what the Bible calls the desecration of the Temple.” Vicki pulled an Old Testament text onto the huge screen. “Daniel prophesied that the king of this time period in history will ‘exalt and magnify himself above every god’ and ‘shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods."”

“What are blastomys?” Charlie asked.

Vicki smiled. “A blasphemy is making fun of God. It means you take what is holy, and make it unholy. It’s like riding a pig down the Via Dolorosa just to make fun of Jesus.”

Charlie nodded. “That Carpathia’s a really bad guy.”

“Tsion writes about why people don’t believe the truth of God. There is a danger that the people were trying to reach have hardened their hearts. People who do this won’t be able to change their minds.”

“But we don’t know who those people are,” Darrion said.

“Exactly,” Vicki said, “so we need to keep giving the message and looking for as many opportunities as possible. And

Buck followed Chaim to the Temple, where, within 20 minutes, civilians without the mark of the beast scurried to set up TV cameras and make arrangements, apparently following a hastily written and reproduced instructions. From where he and Chaim sat, Buck saw others tidying up the Temple Mount, some carting off the slain heckler, some directing people either to spectator locations for what they called the “Temple festivities” or to first–aid lines, and still others replacing in the medical tents GC doctors and nurses who had themselves fallen to ill to help out.

“Pray for me,” Chaim said.

“Why? What? Carpathia is not even here yet.”

Chaim stood and began to speak, again in a huge voice. “Citizens! Hear me! You who have not taken the mark of loyalty! There may still be time to choose to obey the one true and living God! While the evil ruler of this world promises peace, there is no peace! While he promises benevolence and prosperity, look at your world! Everyone who has proceeded you in taking the mark of sin now suffers with grievous sores. This is your lot if you follow him.

“By now you must know that the world has been divided. Nicolae Carpathia is the opponent of God and wishes only your destruction, regardless of his lies. The God who created you loves you. His Son who died for your sins will return to set up His earthly kingdom in less than 3 1/2 years, and if you have not already rejected Him one time too many, you may receive Him now.”

“You were born in sin and separated from God, but the Bible says God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Ephesians 2:8-9 says that nothing we can do will earn our salvation but that it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. The only payment for our sins was Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. Because besides being fully man, He is fully God, and His one death had the power to cleanse all of us of our sin.”

Rayford couldn’t sleep. Pacing various floors in the cavernous Strong Building, he happened by Chaim’s room. The door was wide open, and in the darkness he recognized the old man’s silhouette. Chaim sat motionless on the bed, though Rayford knew he had to see and hear him in the corridor. Rayford poked his head in.

“You all right, Dr. Rosenweig?”

A loud sigh through the wire–bound clenched teeth. “I don’t know, my friend.”

“Want to talk?”

A low chuckle. “You know my culture. Talk is what we do. If you have time, come in. I welcome you.”

Rayford pulled up a chair and sat facing Chaim in the darkness. The botanist seemed in no hurry. Finally, he said, “The young woman takes my wire out tomorrow.”

“Leah, yes. You can’t tell me you’re worried about that.”

“I can hardly contain myself waiting.”

“But something else is on your mind.”

Chaim fell silent again, but soon he began panting, then leaned into his pillow where he was wracked with great sobs. Rayford pulled his chair closer and laid a hand on the man’s shoulder. “Talk to me.”

“I have lost so much!” Chaim wailed, and Rayford strained to understand him. “My family! My staff! And it is all my fault!”

“Little is our fault anymore, sir. Carpathia is in charge of everything now.”

“But I was so proud! So skeptical! Tsion and Cameron and Chloe and you and everyone who cared about me warned me, trying to persuade me. But oh, no, I was too intellectual. I knew better.”

“But you came to the Lord, Chaim. We must not live in the past when all things have become new.”

“But look where I was not that long ago!

Vicki rushed into the living room and told the others what she had heard. The kids tried to assure Vicki that Charlie would be okay, but Vicki wouldn’t listen. “I should never have let him stay.”

“It was his decision,” Mark said.

“Now we know the GC’s tactic against believers,” Conrad said. “They burned Jeff Williams house, Chaim Rosenzweig’s, and now the Shairtons’.”

“We have to go back and see if they’re all right,” Vicki said.

“If they made it out of the house, the GC caught them,” Mark said.

“Then we have to go back and get them released!”

“How about that Morale Monitor you know?” Shelley said. “Maybe she can help.”

“We haven’t heard from Natalie since the message she sent about Carl,” Mark said.

While he wrote Natalie, Vicki gathered the others and prayed for Charlie, Bo, and Ginny. They pleaded with God to help keep them safe.

Judd moved awkwardly in the Middle Eastern clothing he and Lionel were wearing. They had turbans wrapped tightly around their heads. Judd didn’t want to take any chance that the GC might recognize them.

The air was hot but dry in New Babylon as the two walked behind Z-Van’s wheelchair. Westin led them up a ramp and into a courtyard, where hundreds of employees had gathered to see the private unveiling of Carpathia’s glass coffin.

Spotlights made it seem like daylight as they passed a barricade. A GC official brought the small group near the stand where the coffin would be displayed. “You can watch the ceremony and from here,” the man said.

Z-Van thanked him and turned to Judd. “You can leave if you want.”

“We’ll stay.”

“Carpathia could rise any minute,” Lionel whispered.

A live orchestra played a somber song as ten pallbearers carried in the Plexiglas coffin. Two hundred yards away men and women from around the world mourned. Some cried and wailed, throwing hands in the air. Others fell to the ground and ripped their close. Young children screamed and cried. Judd wondered whether they were devoted to Carpathia or just frightened by all the noise

Pallbearers carefully laid the coffin on its stand and backed away. Employees walked up stairs and filed past the potentate’s body. Two pallbearers removed the shroud that covered Carpathia and people gasped.

Judd and the others rushed to the Rosenzweig estate, but it was too late. Flames licked at every level of the home and out the windows. Soon, the beautiful house would be nothing but charred rubble.

Global Community officers kept people back. A television crew set up nearby and prepared to go live.

“Behind me you see the estate of international statesman and beloved Israeli inventor, Dr. Chaim Rosenzweig,” the young reporter said. “Dr. Rosenzweig was on the stage tonight as a special guest of Potentate Carpathia. Authorities fear that after the assassination of His Excellency, Rosenzweig returned here and was killed in this fire, along with his staff.

“What?” Judd said to Lionel. “How could they know that?”

“A Global Community source who asked not to be named gave us information that there are a number of bodies inside, and that there is no possibility of getting them out until the fire has been brought under control.”

Judd shook his head and walked back to the General’s house. He took Lionel and Sam aside. “Okay, help me figure this out. Rosenzweig kills Carpathia. The GC had to have seen it on the video. They torch his house and kill him, but then they accuse Rayford Steele of killing Carpathia. Why?”

“Maybe they think they can get two people with one assassination,” Sam said. “Whether Steele fired the shot or not, they accuse him and all believers will be suspect.”

“Do you really think Captain Steele fired the shot?” Lionel asked.

Jeff was distracted by the television news which again showed Steele’s picture and aired his voice. “This man may be in disguise,” the anchor said. “He is considered armed and extremely dangerous. If you see him, contact your local GC post. Again, this man, Rayford Steele, is believed to be the lone assassin who shot and killed Nicolae Carpathia Friday night. Global Community Security and Intelligence forces found his fingerprints on what is believed to be the murder weapon, a powerful handgun known as a Saber.”

Ray is about to read Chapters 4 through 6 from the 8th book of Left Behind – THE MARK – by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B Jenkins.

In New Babylon, David Hassid is searching frantically for Annie, the woman he intends to marry. He has been told a lightning strike hit the area Annie was guarding. Now David, too, has been struck with lightning and fainted while at an infirmary, hitting his head hard on the concrete and has been injured, his head bandaged like a turban.

At the time Annie had gone missing, Nicolae Carpathia (the Antichrist) rose from his coffin in front of millions of people and has become the object of worship, along with the image of the beast.

Rayford Steele still doesn’t trust his copilot, Albie, but has flown with him to Pueblo, Colorado, in order to find Hattie Durham. Once there, Albie drove Rayford to a Quonset hut. Inside was the man in charge of prisoners, Stevens, who was wearing a mask and sitting in a wheelchair. The longer the three talked, the less Rayford trusted either man. Now he is following Stevens and Albie down a corridor and would love to run, but he has decided instead to play things out in order to find Hattie.

In Illinois, Buck has discovered that Zeke Jr’s dad has been arrested by the Global Police. Zeke’s dad owns the gas station where in an underground basement Zeke Jr. makes IDs and does complete makeovers for Christians who need to disguise themselves in order to avoid the Police. Buck and Chloe are coming to rescue Zeke Jr.

Ray picks the story up at this point.


David hurried to his office and phoned Annie. No answer. Then he called the motor pool. The man who had originally brought him his cart was off duty, but the one he reached told him, “No, sir, no phone. Nothing was left in there. We found the cart but not you, and my boss was pretty mad until he traced you to Medical Services. You okay?”

“Fine.”

“Need the cart?”

“No.”

“Anything I can do fo—”

But David had hung up. He flipped open his computer and saw urgent messages flashing from the code words and numbers he knew belonged to his comrades in the Tribulation Force. He would get to those when he could, but for now, before the infernal meeting, he had to get his phone back and find out where Annie was.

His watch read 2135. He searched the GC database for Personnel, Medical, Female, Under P. there it was: “Palemoon, Hannah L., room and extension 4223.” A groggy hello greeted the fifth ring.

“Nurse Palemoon?”

“Yeah, who’s this?”

“I am so sorry to be calling so late and sorry to wake you, but—”

“Hassid?”

“Yes, forgive me, but—”

“I have your phone.”

“Oh, thank G—goodness! Is it on?”

“No, sir, I turned it off. Now are you going to come get it so I can get back to sleep?”

“Could I? If you don’t mind terribly, I—”

“I gotta show you something anyway.”

What in the world? Was he being set up? Why would she be so willing to have him come and get it? And why did she take it in the first place? To be safe, he jumped back on the computer and fired up the bugging device that would record their conversation in the corridor outside her room.

A MIDNIGHT MARATHON

By 10 o’clock Saturday night in Illinois, Tsion had survived two messy operations: feeding and changing Kenny. The boy was now sound asleep in his crib in the other room, and Tsion had turned the sound off on the television. He merely glanced at it occasionally, tired of the endless repetition.

How many times had he seen Rayford’s photograph and history and the grave conclusion on the part of Global Community Security and Intelligence forces that he was the lone assassin, the lone gunman? Rayford was also consistently referred to as a committed Judah-ite. Tsion knew, because he knew the Tribulation Force, that Rayford Steele had ceased to exist. He would neither make himself obvious to the public nor leave a trail in his own name. Tsion prayed that God would preserve Rayford as long as possible.

Tsion pored over as Bible texts and commentaries, trying to make sense of the vivid dream. He pleaded with God for another of the same, but short of that, he wanted to understand the one he’d had. Scholars were divided on who the sun–clothed woman was, the one who wore a garland of stars and used the moon as her footstool.

Clearly she was symbolic, as no woman was that large or had a child in space. Some believed she represented womankind as mentioned in Genesis when God told Satan that the woman would produce a child whose heel Satan might bruise, but who would crush his head. That was a prophecy of the Christ child, and of course that woman turned out to be Mary. Yet further details of this symbolic woman indicated that she might symbolize Israel. The Christ came from Israel, and Satan pursued and persecuted God’s chosen people even to this present day.

Leah was tired and bored, despite being fascinated by the change in Rayford and the relationship between him and his daughter. Even with the windows open and a chilly breeze coming through, the Land Rover was cramped and oppressive.

When her phone rang and it was Ming, she was alarmed but glad for the diversion.

“I am going to get to see my parents and my brother again,” Ming said.

“That’s great. How? Where?”

“At the funeral.”

“You’re going?”

“And so are they.. I called to tell them I had been assigned crowd control and they insisted on coming.”

“Well, that’s good, isn’t it?”

“Leah, I am so worried about my parents. They do not know about either Chang or me being believers. They were such admirers of Carpathia that they are sick with grief. I want to tell them and persuade them, but it would take a miracle.”

“It’s always a miracle, Ming. We’ll pray with you that it will happen.”

“You don’t know my father.”

“I know, but God is bigger than any of that. How are you going to get to New Babylon? I heard all flights were full.”

“Military transport. I don’t know how my family found seats, except that my father has a lot of influence with the GC. His business contributes more than 20% of his profits to New Babylon. They are expecting another million people there tomorrow. I’m telling you, Leah, even prisoners here are mourning Carpathia.”

 

“When you’re there, look up David Hassid and Annie Christopher.”

“Believers?”

“Of course. Keep up the front. Pretend to argue with them. They’ll notice your mark and play along to protect you. Introduce your brother. I’ll tip them off your parents don’t know. Hey, any more news on Hattie or on Cameron Williams family?”

A pause.

“You can tell me, Ming.”

“Well, it’s sort of good news and bad news.”

“Shoot.”

Revelation 3:10 says, “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from [out] the hour of temptation [testing], which shall come upon all the world, to try [test] them that dwell upon the earth.” What could be clearer than that? It doesn’t say “take out.” No, “take out” and “keep out” have entirely different meanings. It doesn’t say “keep in.” No, “keep in” and “keep out” have entirely different meanings. It doesn’t say “keep in and take out.” No, it takes twice as many words to express those two distinct ideas. God chose this simple word combination to communicate as clearly as possible. Some say this means believers are protected during testing instead of from testing. But I answer, protected from what? Believers during that time are killed, not kept. (Revelation 6:9, 13:7) Let’s think deeper. The reason for the promise illuminates the purpose of the promise. The reason (“because you have already demonstrated patience in testing”) prompts the purpose (“I will keep you from further testing”). Is God saying, “Since you have shown patience, I will now give you a bigger test?” No, He is saying, “You have already passed the test. Congratulations!” You have shown patience, haven’t you? You have leaned on God’s Word during testing, haven’t you? Then this promise is for you.
SUPPORTING VERSES
First, the known day and the unknown day cannot be the same day. “But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matthew 25:36). “In such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes” (Matthew 25:44). In contrast to the unknown day, we also read about a known day. The 1260 days of Revelation 12:6 coincides with the 42 months of Revelation 13:5 and the three and one-half years of Revelation 12:14. The same time span is stated in three ways, days, months, and years. There’s no mistaking it. This clearly stated time span begins at the abomination of desolation (Matthew 24:15-16), and it ends at the return of Christ (Revelation 19:20). The known day and the unknown day must be different days. The rapture cannot occur on the known day.It’s not just the day that’s unknown. The general time period is unknown. Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”Also Mark 13:33 says, “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.” The word “time” there means “season.” That’s why Jesus urged His disciples to be ready continually, not wait to get ready. Second, at the end of the age the unbelievers are taken first. Matthew 13 reads: “In the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather together first the tares…. the harvest is the end of the world…. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity…. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just.” Does it say, “Separate the wheat from the tares?” No, it says, “Separate the tares from the wheat.” The order of gatherings at this time is opposite to the rapture. Third, those taken on that day end up as corpses for vultures to feed on. Luke 17 reads: “I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And He said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, there will the eagles be gathered together.” “Eagles” is better translated “vultures.” “Body” means “corpse” according to the parallel passage Matthew 24:28. So those taken on that day end up as corpses for vultures to feed on. Is that the rapture? No, believers have a different destiny. Fourth, if all unbelievers are destroyed, then who will populate the millennium? Many passages teach that no unbelievers survive the tribulation. Luke 17 reads: “[Noah] entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. … the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” Matthew 13 reads: “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity.” First Thessalonians five reads: “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” [strong dual negative in the Greek] Second Thessalonians one reads: “When the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ … That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” Malachi 4 reads: “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.” Now consider this. If believers receive glorified bodies at the rapture, and if all unbelievers are destroyed after the tribulation, then who will populate the millennium in natural bodies? A rapture at the end of the tribulation doesn’t fit. Fifth, by Revelation 19, the wife is already ready. Revelation 19 says: “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness [literally righteousnesses, plural] of the saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called [invited] unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.” Who is the wife of the Lamb? The church, all true believers in the Lamb of God. (2 Corinthians 11:2, Ephesians 5:31-32) How do we know she is ready? Well, just look at her. She’s arrayed in fine linen. What is she ready for? The marriage supper. The invitations are about to go out. The wife is ready by Revelation 19 before Christ descends to earth. If you are a true believer, then you are in that picture. You are in heaven. You are arrayed in fine linen. Your wedding gown is complete. Sixth, by Revelation 4, the crowns are already awarded. “And round about the throne were four and twenty seats [thrones]: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads [victory] crowns of gold” (Revelation 4:4). Who are the elders? Some may think that the elders are angels. But God doesn’t award victory crowns to angels. These crowns are reserved for sinners who overcome by faith. You can say the elders are the church, or Israel, or a combination of both, or the New York Yankees, minus one player. I don’t care. But definitely human. Crowns come when Christ comes according to 2 Timothy 4:8, 1 Peter 5:4, and Revelation 22:12. Therefore, Christ must have come prior to Revelation 4:4, but after Revelation 3 when the church is still on earth. Somewhere in between there. Do you want to prepare for the tribulation? Then study the 24 elders. That’s our role. That’s the part we’ll play when the time comes.
WHY DO I BELIEVE THIS WAY
I believe in the pre-tribulation rapture for different reasons than the typical pre-tribulationist. Although we share the same principles of interpretation, understanding the words of the Bible in their normal sense, and letting the context explain the meaning, I think taking these basic principles of interpretation to their full and logical conclusion, letting go of pre-conceived notions, letting Scripture speak for itself, we discover a harmony beyond expectation.
WHERE ARE WE NOW IN THE TIMEFRAME
We are in the church age, before the tribulation, before the 70th week of Daniel. Jesus places the tribulation immediately before His coming (Matthew 24:29). That puts it future, not past. Paul places the revealing of the man of sin in the future. Since the man of sin will be destroyed by Christ at His coming, those events are future (2 Thessalonians 2:1-8).

A-millennial           POSITION A-MILLENNIAL AUTHOR Gerald Boyer e-mail omifren@zoominternet.net MAIN VERSE I believe the a-millennial concept is based upon prophecy; therefore, I submit this scripture as a sure foundation… Deuteronomy 18:20-23 “But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him” The Lord confirms WHAT PROPHECY IS! through these scriptures. The prophecy of the book of Revelation follows these guidelines. It is my studied opinion that the a-millennial concept is scripturally sound, because it presents those things that have come to pass. If the Divine key of symbolic language is properly used, this prophecy relates the historic trace of Christianity. It speaks of the events of the birth of the church, the conflicts she fought against Paganism, and the Apostasy that formed through the “Dark-Age period.” This prophecy reveals the triumph of the true church as She came forth through Protestantism and then shows forth Her glory again at the end of time as She was in Her 1st. century glory. The a-millennial view presents the historical trace of Christianity which HAS ALREADY TAKEN PLACE, and therefore can be termed, I believe, the “More sure word of prophecy.” SUPPORTING VERSES (2 Peter 1:19-21) “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shinneth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” According to Deut. 18: 20-23, Daniel’s 70th week CANNOT BE in the future. If this WERE TRUE, then Daniel would be considered a “false prophet.” Christ Himself said, all things concerning His birth, life, death and resurrection had been FULFILLED! Let us consider this message in support of our a-millennial position. The scriptures say, “Seventy Weeks are DETERMINED.” This period is composed of seven weeks, during which the city of Jerusalem is restored. Then, a period of 434 years (62 weeks) elapse until the baptism of Christ. The baptism of Christ is established because He is referred to as Messiah, the Prince, in other words, the Anointed One. There remained but one week, the seventieth, during which the ministry of Christ is executed, and during which time He is cut off in the midst (NOT MIDDLE) of the week. It is generally established that Christ ministered three and one half years before His crucifixion, when He was cut off. The remaining three and one half years was the period of time when the gospel was proclaimed to the Jews, ending with Peter’s Divinely guided mission to the house of Cornelius who was the first Gentile to embrace salvation. Further, the duration of the Covenant was not limited to one week, but was ratified during that one week of prophecy. Its duration was, and is ENDLESS! This is the NEW and EVERLASTING Covenant. 1. Christ did make an end of sins! 2. Christ did make reconciliation for iniquity! 3. Christ did bring in everlasting righteousness! 4. The Old Testament lived in prophecy. 5. The New Testament lives in history. Christ FULFILLED ALL the prophecies at His first coming, and that He was the embodiment of ALL that had been promised through the prophets from the beginning of time. I believe Christ DID set up His Kingdom when He entered into the world the first time. On the cross, He cried out, “IT IS FINISHED!” Christ did NOT fail to accomplish what He came to do just because the Jews refused Him as the Messiah. To infer that Christ has to come back and ‘do the thing all over again,’ is a denial of all the prophesies that proclaimed His reason for coming into the world. As it is written: Christ came into this world to, “SAVE MEN FROM THEIR SINS;” not to set up a literal kingdom on this earth for the Jews or any one else. The interpretation of the Revelation prophecy has been determined through symbolic understanding which God gave to those holy men of old, by Divine inspiration. Daniel gives us the keys to understanding these symbols. The a-millennial concept which I believe, simply follows these guidelines. WHY DO I BELIEVE THIS WAY I believe the a-millennial concept because of the previously mentioned scriptural facts concerning God’s format for prophetic truth. The historical events have followed as the symbolic truth has revealed, and these events continue to be fulfilled. I believe the important and vital “link” of the transition from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant, has been ‘passed over’ by those who present ‘another age to come.’ The entire book of Hebrews declares that the Old Covenant has been abolished! If the ninth chapter of Hebrews were read and accepted by the adherents of Pre-Post and ‘other’ millennialists, I believe this truth would resolve the issue of a “Postponed” kingdom. WHERE ARE WE NOW IN THE TIME LINE I believe we are in the “Evening Time” of the gospel day. The 7th and final sealed scroll HAS BEEN OPENED, according to the Revelation prophecy. Zechariah wrote of this time. “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but IT SHALL COME TO PASS, THAT AT EVENING TIME IT SHALL BE LIGHT.” (Zech.14:6-9) The Revelation prophecy speaks of the confused state of religions that have claimed to be Christianity…some clear, not all darkness. Perhaps the reason the early church is called the “morning time” church is because it’s glory was so short lived. According to historians and the prophetic Word of God, the Pristine glory of that infant church only lasted until the latter part of the second century. I believe the symbolic teaching of this book of Revelation portrays the “Dark Ages” as the long day of darkness when the Popes and the Roman Catholic Church reigned over the entire world. The Bible was taken from the common man and relegated to the Priests. The 16th century then brought forth some Light as Protestantism came forth. I believe this was the fulfillment of Zachariah’s prophecy when he said, “That light shall not be clear, nor dark.” On the prophetic time table, God began His “Final Restoration” in the latter part of the 18th. Century. This event, is revealed in the 6th sealed scroll message. According to the symbols, this “Final Restoration,” will continue until ALL God’s people have heard the call to, “Come out of Spiritual Babylon.” According to the symbolic understanding that God has given, Babylon represents the religions that men’s traditions have devised. All these events follow in a chronological order and therefore can be accepted as the fulfillment of God’s true prophecy. This “Final Restoration,” that Christians are engaged in these last days, I believe, to be the fulfillment of that which the Lord spoke to Zechariah when he wrote: “At evening time it shall be light.” The LIGHT has come forth and is shinning brighter and brighter as the Lord draws nigh. The Bible is now available to FREE “whosoever will hear” what the Word of God says, rather than the traditional religions of men. Rev. 15:1-5, declares this final restoration of God’s redeemed people. They had gotten the victory over the Dragon (Paganism) over the beast (Catholicism) and over his image (Protestantism) and over his mark, and over the number of his name. I BELIEVE THEY WERE SINGING THEIR SONG OF DELIVERANCE FROM ALL THE IMAGES OF MEN’S RELIGIONS. The three unclean spirits and their deeds of deception are evident in these closing chapters of history, as we see paganism on the rise through eastern religions, cults and Satanism. The Apostate religion God has identified as “The Great Harlot” is being revived through the Pope’s worlds acceptance of him as a great Potentate. Protestantism is overflowing with the New Age philosophy. These things have come to pass! This is how we may know the certainty of this Revelation prophecy. (Rev. 16:12-17). Armageddon will NOT BE a literal battle fought on a foreign land! Armageddon is a “Spiritual battle” in which all Christians are NOW being inducted into. “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”(Eph.6:12) We are called upon to reprove and rebuke the False teachings that abound in so-called Christianity. Judd and  Nada are becoming more and more serious about each other much to Nada’s father’s disapproval. Then Judd receives a plea from Pavel, his friend in New Babylon and Pavel tells Judd he needs to meet him there. Judd agrees and Mac McCullum flies Judd, Lionel, and Sam to New Babylon. While traveling, Judd learns Pavel is dying. He’s heartbroken. Then he discovers Nada has stowed away in the plane to be with Judd. He knows her being with them is dangerous.

Vicki and the others find a group of believers in Johnson City, Tennessee. She tries to warn them of the GC police coming to arrest them all but they still stay in the bowling alley-church.

Jewish Christian David Hassid is one of the pilots Carpathia, the Antichrist, chose to replace Rayford. Carpathia has no idea that David is a Christian. Nor does he know that in whatever country David lands his plane part of the cargo are scripts from Rabbi Ben Judah’s teaching. Rayford’s close friend, Mac McCullough is also a major pilot for Carpathia. Again, Carpathia has no idea Mac is a Christian. He, too, is distributing the Rabbi’s teaching wherever he goes. Now both David and Mac have also been giving out the state-of-the-art computers that Carpathia ordered and can’t understand why they haven’t been delivered. They are terribly expensive and are now being used to get the Rabbi’s teaching to Christians. Mac didn’t know that Corporal Annie Christopher is David’s girlfriend. They had fun introducing that fact to him.

Meanwhile, in the safe house in Chicago, tragedy has struck the Tribulation Force. Dr. Floyd is dead. He had somehow accidentally drunk from the poison that Carpathia had intended to kill Hattie Durham. At the same time, the Christian nurse Leah Rose who had been such a help to them when Hattie miscarried Carpathia’s baby has come to live in the safe house. Rayford hasn’t immediately trusted her being there.

Rayford is constantly filled with rage anyway and has the exact same desire that Hattie Durham has – to be the one to kill Carpathia.

The judgment of God which includes a worldwide freeze continues. Nicolae Carpathia, the Antichrist, is quickly assembled a group of scientists to support his cockamamie story that this happened because of a star that broke loose from a supernova. All of the scientists lie except Israel’s most honored living personality, Chaim Rosenweig, who strongly praises Rabbi Tsion Ben Judah for warning the world of each judgment from God that would come, including this global freezing. He then gives the world Tsion’s Internet address which quickly increases Tsion’s viewers by many millions.

Rayford, Tsion, Chloe, Dr. Floyd, and Hattie Durham watch that press conference from the home where they are staying in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Later they watch Carpathia make an absolute fool of himself in front of the two witnesses at the Wailing Wall. He tries to bargain with the two witnesses and they humiliate him internationally. He vows they will soon be dead. Buck decides to fly home to America and Rayford asks Buck to stop in Greece for just a moment to encourage the Christian who hosted Chloe, Tsion, and Rayford. Ray picks the story up at this point.

VICKI looked at Mark’s prediction on the computer. Though she was never that good at math, his numbers seemed right. At dinner she announced an all-out effort to store fuel. “We have enough food to keep us going a few months,” Vicki said, “but if Mark is right about what’s coming, we need to insulate the problem areas and get more fuel.”

“What fuel?” Janie asked.

“Firewood,” Vicki answered, “enough to last a couple months.”

Janie sighed. “Thought I was done with grunt labor when I escaped the GC camp.”

Vicki ignored her. “Conrad, I need you to coordinate the around-the-clock GC lookout from the tower.”

“Already done,” Conrad said. “We do three eight-hour shifts. Shelly’s up there right now.”

“Any luck with the box?” Vicki asked.

Conrad shook his head. “I’ve broken three saw blades on it so far.”

“It’ll have to take a backseat to this,” Vicki said. “As a matter of fact, we’ll have to postpone classes, too.”

“What happens if his predictions don’t come true?” Melinda wanted to know. “We’re already into spring. Summer’s not far away. How’s it going to get that cold this time of year?”

“Yeah,” Janie said, “we could work our tails off for nothing.”

Mark scowled. “Dr. Ben-Judah’s been predicting stuff since the GC made their treaty with Israel. He hasn’t been wrong yet.”

judd was crushed by the deaths of Taylor and Hasina. He wanted to call the media and tell them the truth about what happened, but he knew the media was controlled by Nicolae Carpathia. A sense of despair set in. Not only had they lost two friends, but they had also lost their best chance of getting home. Judd went to his room and tried to sleep, but couldn’t. He composed an e-mail and sent it to Conrad, then fixed a cup of coffee. His father had been a big-time coffee drinker, but his mother had warned Judd not to start. In his senior year he had pulled several all-nighters with nothing but sheer willpower and a thermos filled with coffee. Now, as Judd held the hot cup and thought about his family, it seemed like two different lives. Only a little more than two years had passed since the vanishings. In those two years his life had turned upside down. Nothing was constant. He seemed to always be on the run.

The highly respected Chaim Rosenzweig has three houseguests, two of them are wanted by the Global Community police – Rabbi Ben Judah and Buck Williams. Buck’s wife, Chloe, is pregnant and with them. In a hilarious scene, Chaim and Buck search for Jacov, a recovering alcoholic who is Chaim’s chauffeur. They go to a very seedy bar called “The Harem” because that’s where Jacov always went when he went back to his drinking. But instead Jacov was there standing on a table and preaching Christ! Afterward Buck drove alone to the Wailing Wall. A huge crowd was there including many of the GC police. When a man with a high-powered rifle begins moving toward the Wall, the witnesses give him grave warning. But as the police also begin to move in, the two witnesses completely disappear. Carpathia (the Antichrist) has announced to the world by television that if the two witnesses left the Wailing Wall, they were to be captured or shot by anyone on site. Ray picks the story up at this point

Meanwhile,Ken Ritz has flown Rayford back to Israel in order for Rayford to help Buck, Chloe, and the Rabbi escape back to the states.


Just after noon on Thursday in Chicago, Rayford and Ken joined Doc Charles and Hattie to watch the Meeting. The pilots had their flight plans out and doodled with charting their course to the Middle East. Assuming word got to Tsion, he would announce something official or ceremonious for Saturday, and that would trigger Rayford and Ken’s attempt to get to Israel. They would plan to arrive around midnight Friday and pick up their passengers shortly thereafter. Rayford’s head jerked up as all four watchers heard Tsion say,

“I plan to summarize all this in a small thank-you session to the local committee on Saturday at noon, when we meet near the Temple Mount.”

“Bingo!” Rayford said. “Teach me the Gulfstream this afternoon, so I can share the load both ways.”

“Long as you’re confident of chopper duty. Got one lined up?”

“That part’ll be easy. Hoo, boy, back in the battle!”

Hattie gave Rayford a long look. “You like this stuff?” “Funny you would ask that,” he said, “knowing how you feel about Carpathia.” “I expect to die going after him. You act like you can’t lose.”

“We’ve already won,” Ritz said. “It’s just a matter of going through the motions. The Bible’s already told the story, and as Tsion says, ‘We win.’”

Hattie shook her head and rolled onto her side, her back to them. “You’re pretty glib for dealing with a man like Nicolae.”

Ken caught Rayford’s eye. “You realize when we have to leave, with the time change and all? Well, ’course you do. You been flyin’ these routes a lot longer’n I have.”

Nicolae Carpathia had made a fool of himself on worldwide television and that the Teddy Kollek Stadium in Jerusalem. After he began to speak to a crowd of many thousands at the stadium, his voice began to give out on him. Someone from the crowd handed him a bottle of water, but when he drank it blood came out and he choked on it. Swearing and screaming at Christian Rabbi Tsion Ben Judah, who was the reason all the people had come, he gasped and left the stage. But not for long. He soon returned with murder in his eyes. Meanwhile, Hattie’s ( and the Antichrist’s baby died at birth and Hattie no longer wants to live. Rayford, Dr. Charles, and Ken Ritz are with her and encouraging her to live. Ray picks the story up at this point. Join him now.


Buck grew nervous in the van, waiting for Chloe and Tsion. He assumed she would hustle Tsion from the stage; thousands would have given anything for a moment with him, not to mention committee members who might want a word. And no one knew how Carpathia might respond to what had happened on stage. He initially blamed it on Tsion, but then the witnesses had appeared. Buck thought Nicolae should realize that Tsion had no miraculous powers. Nicolae’s quarrel was with the two witnesses. It was his own fault, of course. He had not been invited, or even welcomed, on stage. And the gall to have Fortunato and the pompous Peter the Second precede him! Buck shook his head. What else from the Antichrist?

Buck dialed Chloe’s number but got no answer. A busy signal he could understand. But no answer? A recorded voice spoke in Hebrew. “Jacov, listen to this. What is she saying?” Jacov was still beaming, having craned his neck and leaned out the window to see others’ marks. He often pointed to his own and learned that fellow believers always smiled and seemed to enjoy pointing heavenward. The day would come, Buck knew, when the sign of the cross on the forehead would have to say everything between tribulation saints. Even pointing up would draw the attention of enemy forces. The problem was, the day would also come when the other side would have its own mark, and it would be visible to all. In fact, according to the Bible, those who did not bear this “mark of the beast” would not be able to buy or sell. The great network of saints would then have to develop its own underground market to stay alive.

Jacov put the phone to his ear, then handed it back to Buck. “If you want to leave a message, press one.” Buck did. “Chloe,” he said, “call me as soon as you get this. The crowd out here hasn’t thinned a bit, so I don’t want to have to come and find you and Tsion. But I will if I don’t hear from you in ten minutes.” As soon as he ended the call, his phone chirped. “Thank God,” he said and flipped it open. “Yeah, babe.”

Ray begins reading the final three chapters of the 17th book in the 40 book series of Left Behind-The Kids: Nicolae’s Speech, Reason to Kill, and Death in the Stadium. Those titles alone should show you this will be a very  tense three chapters. Taylor Graham who flew Judd, Lionel, and Mr. Stein, to Israel, has moved out of the stands at the packed Teddy Kolleck Stadium with one goal on his mind. Judd has realized what that goal is and has left Lionel and Mr. Stein in the stands to stop him.

Meanwhile, Z has brought notebooks and pens to Vicki and those in the schoolhouse. They are seated watching events at the stadium over a television set, waiting for Tsion Ben Judah to speak to the crowd including many of the 144,000 Jewish evangelists. Mark has left the group and is now on his own with the Lord. Ray picks the story up at this point.

 

As Nicolae Carpathia stepped to the podium Judd slipped from his seat. “If I’m not back before this ends, stay here,” Judd said to Lionel. Taylor Graham was still moving when Judd caught up to him.

“What are you doing?” Judd whispered.

Taylor whirled, ready to fight. When he recognized Judd, he rolled his eyes and put a finger to his lips. “I came to hear Carpathia.”

“Fellow citizens of the Global Community,” as your potentate, I welcome you to Israel and to this great arena, named after a man of the past, a man of peace and harmony statesmanship.”

Judd knew what Nicolae was doing. He was trying to win the crown by talking about a well-known Israeli.

Buck slipped back into Chloe’s room, desperate to let her know he was there and she was safe.

He could hardly bear to look at her black and purple face with the eye is so swollen. He gently took her hand and leaned close, “Chloe, I’m here, and I won’t let anything happen to you. But I need your help. Squeeze my hand. Blink. Let me know you’re with me.”

No response. Buck lay his cheek on her pillow, his lips inches from her ear. “Oh, God,” he prayed, “why couldn’t you have let this happen to me? Why her? Help me get her out of here, God, please!”

Her hand felt like a feather, and she seemed fragile as a newborn. What a contrast to the strong woman he had loved and come to know. She was normally fearless, but she was also smart. How he wished she was up to being his ally in this.

Chloe’s breathing accelerated, and Buck opened his eyes as a tear slid past her ear. He looked her in the face. She blinked furiously, and he wondered if she was trying to communicate. “I’m here,” he said over and over. “Chloe, it’s Buck.”

The GC guard had been gone too long. Buck prayed he was out there waiting with the marker but too intimidated to knock. Otherwise, who knew whom he might bring with them and what might squash any chance Buck had to protect Chloe.

He spoke quickly. “Sweetheart, I don’t know if you can hear me, but try to concentrate. I’m switching your name with the woman’s in the other bed. Her name is Ashton. And I’m pretending to be your doctor. Okay? Can you grasp that?”

Buck waited, hoping. Finally, a flicker.

The next morning a different guard returned for Conrad. Darrion had been gone all night.

“Don’t believe anything he says,” Mr. Stein yelled as the man led Conrad away.

Melinda and Felicia waited outside the interview room and scowled when Conrad sat beside them.

“I wanted to tell you guys what was up, but I didn’t want to blow my cover,” Conrad said.

“What are you talking about?” Melinda asked.

“The commander put me down there so I could listen to those to talk,” he said. “I got what he wanted.”

“I don’t believe you,” Felicia said. “You’re one of them.”

“I was just as surprised as you when Lionel turned up dirty.”

The girls turned away.

“I need your help,” Conrad said, moving where he could see them. “I’m going to catch Lionel, the girl, and that other guy.”

The door opened. Commander Blanca came outside. “What is this, Graham?”

“Commander, Sir, I figured since I was innocent, you put me in with the others to spy. It worked.”

The commander cleared his throat. “I didn’t. I mean… what did you find out?”

“Darrion’s definitely one of them, sir,” Conrad answered.

“We’ve had someone talking to her all night,” the commander said. “She says she doesn’t know them.”

“If it’s all right with you, I’d like to see the look on her face when I tell you the whole story,” Conrad said.

The commander motioned the three inside. Darrion looked exhausted. Her eyes were puffy and red. The commander probably talked about her parents, Conrad thought.

Conrad knew this would be the tough part. If he could convince the commander he wasn’t partners with the others, he had a chance to get Darrion and Mr. Stein out.

Lionel used two sleeping pills to put Melinda to sleep on the cot in jail where Vicki was supposed to be sleeping. Both of them have now escaped the jail and are with Judd at the Stahley’s house. But you can be sure the two of them, as well as Judd, will be hunted even more intensely now by Commander Blanca and the Global Police. Meanwhile, Lionel’s friend Chad has stayed at the jail with the Commander, still posing as if he were on the Commander’s side. To make matters worse, Darrion has been arrested by the Global Police while on her way to try to rescue Vicki. Ray begins now the 15th book of the Left Behind–The Kids, novels that are written by Jerry B Jenkins and Tim LaHaye.

Judd Thompson Jr. and the rest of the Young Tribulation Force are in danger. Global Community Commander Blancka and Morale Monitors Felicia and Melinda are after Judd and his friend Vicki Byrne.

When Judd and Vicki are swept into a river, a GC helicopter captures Vicki, but Judd escapes.

While Most of the Young Trib Force meet in the underground hideout at the Stahley mansion, Vicki is questioned by the Global Community. Mitchell Stein, a Jewish businessman friend, helps her plead her case before Commander Blancka. Before the commander can make a decision about Vicki’s fate, Lionel Washington and his friend Conrad Graham whisk Vicki away from the GC jail. Conrad remain with the GC as Lionel rushes Vicki to the hideout.

Not knowing Lionel’s plan, Darrion Stahley attempts her own rescue of Vicki and is caught by the GC. The next morning Conrad and Mr. Stein are suspected in Vicki’s disappearance.

The kids must decide whether to run, hide, or face their enemy.
