The Journey by Dr. Billy Graham Ch 7 Can We Be Sure?

One of the greatest problems some Christians have is to continue struggling with their salvation. If you are in a condemning, legalistic church, you very well may have what I call “infernal insecurity”. You’ll still get to Heaven because Christ has saved you, but the journey will be a hard one here until you believe Him and what he has done for you.

Remember: There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” And if you have had a moment in your life where you opened your heart to Christ, the Holy Spirit came into you and will never leave. Billy Graham says that a whole lot better than I do. So let’s hear from his book right now. – Ray

The Journey by Dr Billy Graham Chapter 6 A New Beginning

The Journey by Dr Billy Graham Chapter 6 A New Beginning

The greatest soul–winning evangelist of the twentieth century was Dr Billy Graham. In this powerful chapter from his book The Journey, he tells us of seven things that will happen in A Christian’s life once they really know Christ.

Being a Christian isn’t a feeling or a constant emotional high. It is the journey that leads to Heaven. Along the way, life may often seem like a Christian is riding on a roller coaster with both highs and lows that thrills and then nearly sucks the air out of them!

Christians aren’t perfect; too often far from it. But they are totally forgiven by the Christ who died for them. If you are not a Christian, it’s not too late to be saved and start your journey through the teaching of Billy Graham.

In this chapter, Billy Graham has some great teaching on marriage and on the single life too.

Ray starts now.

Bitterness is like acid, it will destroy the container. If you want a life worth living, you will learn to forgive very quickly. If you want the secret to the Christian life it can be summarized this way – Keep on keeping on.

The Journey by Dr Billy Graham Ch 4: Can We Start Over?

This is such a powerful book, just like all the books are that are written by Doctor Billy Graham. The greatest evangelist of the twentieth century answers a question that he is totally familiar with. Hundreds of thousands of people have come to Christ through this great man’s preaching. And in the follow-up that took place with each of the new believers, Billy must have heard at least 100,000 testimonies of what salvation did and how lives have been completely transformed through the blood of Christ. The title of this chapter – Chapter 5 – is “Can We Start Over? ” Ray will have special comments about that subject too at the conclusion of his reading of this chapter. Join Ray now.

Denver Bronco"s Quarterback Peyton Manning is headed for the Hall of Fame

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/maxresdefault-1-1024x576.jpg

Denver Bronco’s Quarterback Peyton Manning is headed for the Hall of Fame

Peyton Manning will be a first ballot Hall of Fame inductee shortly after his retirement from football.  He has been considered one of the best of his generation if not one of the best ever since being drafted number 1 overall by the Colts in 1998. These days Peyton is known for his commercials a well as his play on the field.

Now as hard as I’ve tried, I can’t make the “Nationwide is on your Side” jingle fit those words, but the words of that hymn came to my mind when I read a couple excerpts from the book Manning co-authored by Peyton and his father, Archie.

Referenced in this Guideposts article, Manning writes

My faith has been number one since I was 13 years old and heard from the pulpit on a Sunday morning in New Orleans a simple question: ‘If you died today, are you one hundred percent sure you’d go to heaven?"” Manning writes in his book “Manning.”

“My heart was pounding,” he writes. “The minister invited those who would like that assurance through Jesus Christ to raise their hands, and I did. Then he invited us to come forward, to take a stand, and my heart really started pounding. And from where we sat, it looked like a mile to the front.

“But I got up and did it. I committed my life to Christ, and that faith has been the most important to me ever since.”

He goes on to say “My faith doesn’t make me perfect, it makes me forgiven, and provides me the assurance I looked for half my life ago…I believe, too, that life is much better and freer when you’re committed to God in that way.”

Manning talks about the decision he made to accept Christ as Savior when he was 13 years old

Here are my takeaways from Manning’s story:

1- Blessed Assurance –  The life that we live is filled with uncertainty. Things can come up out of nowhere and leave our lives filled with hardships and trials. But when we choose to live for Christ and make Him Lord of our Life, we can have assurance that we will spend eternity with Christ in Heaven. We will be with Him forever and have the joy of worshipping Him, knowing Him and experiencing no more tears, heartache, sorrow or pain. The pastor at the service where Manning made this decision asked the important question for all of us. If we die, do we know for certain that we will go to heaven. Do you believe that Jesus came to die for our sins and defeat death through his resurrection? Have you decided to make him the most important part of your life? If so, you too can rest assured that you will be with Him forever. If not, then I invite you to consider the truth of the Bible and ask God to show Himself to you. He is real, and He has made a way for our sins to be dealt with so we could join Him for eternity. What a Blessed Assurance this is!

Manning knows that he is far from perfect, but his perfect God has forgiven him, and offers the same for each of us.

2- Not Perfect, Just Forgiven – When we make Jesus Lord of our Life, we are not instantly made perfect. We will still sin and hurt people and act selfishly and turn away from His best path for us. But we know that He is with us and will guide us when we ask Him. In Matthew 5.48, Jesus has just taught us to love our enemies. He finishes this thought by telling us to “be perfect as He is perfect”.  How can we do that when we are so flawed? We are made perfect my following Him and being “clothed with the robes of righteousness”(Isaiah 61.10)  It is not our perfection that saves us, it is Christ’s perfection that saves us. And He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion in the Day of Christ Jesus” We are a work in progress, but His righteousness forgives our sins and makes us unblemished to God.

3- On Your Side – Manning these days is just as known for his Nationwide Insurance commercials as he is for his football.  The slogan for Nationwide is “Nationwide is on your side”. As I was thinking about Manning and putting this article together, that jingle stayed at or near the forefront of my mind. And as a summary for Manning’s story and how it connected with me, I was reminded again that “Jesus Christ is on my side”. It is a truth that all who follow Him can know for certain. He fights for us, he comforts us and snatches us to victory from the jaws of our defeat. May that song echo in your mind longer than the Insurance company. “Jesus Christ is On your side”

Other great football players on the Denver Broncos are wide receiver and former Pittsburgh Steeler, Emmanuel Sanders

Former San Francisco 49er Tight end Vernon Leonard Davis

Vonette Bright Has Gone Home

http://reachmorenow.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Three-Hours-inline1.jpg

Vonette Bright Has Gone Home

A little boy of ten was heard to say to his father at his mother’s funeral, “Maybe she was an angel and God just loaned her to us for awhile.” People in many parts of the world still say that today about Vonnette Bright who went home to be with the Lord and to be reunited with her husband Bill on December 23, 2015.

One of my closest forever friends is a former high school student of mine who I had the joy of directing in many plays. His name is Jim Delarme. Jim is the brother of Grace Stoddard who was Bill Bright’s personal secretary for a number of years. Jim wrote me about a couple of memories among the multitude of memories that he has about Vonnette. Jim wrote:

I VERY much recall Vonette Bright !!  Vonette was from Minnesota I believe, a wonderful and VERY gracious special woman. She once kidded me when i asked as a teen. about the Campus Crusade “cabin” at LAKE MEARS…some mile or less away from Forest Home Christian Conference center in the Southern California Mountains above forest falls California. We we were all headed there to spend a couple days,we were riding in the same car…I was just about ready to bundle up and get tough…but asked Vonette  how “rustic” the “cabin was”…she said to me ..”.well jim you could just about SPIT between the logs,” but when we arrived I saw a VERY well equipped quite modern “cabin” with all the amenities of a NICE home.

Vonette and I were working together in the large garage at 110 stone canyon dr…on SUNSET blvd.across from UCLA, we were BOTH working up a sweat handling boxes and other stored things, she stops and tells me ” I have to go in (NO cell phones in 1959,1960) and check if my BABY is Born yet”…well for a 16-17 year old kid I was worried that I had worked her TOO hard on her ” day of delivery”…and She sure seemed ENTIRELY too agile, slim, cheerful, and spontaneous for a BRAND NEW MOM !!

When she later told me it was a wonderful and precious adoption..and that She was not the birth mother, but ECSTATIC , tearful and DELIGHTED to “be a new MOM”, I understood.

That “Baby” grew to be a GREAT man whose name was Bill Bright, who like his brother, was nurtured and grew up in the wonderful family of a famous former CANDY Baron.. who then turned out to be a HIGHLY respected famous ambassador and teacher, and EVANGELIST for CHRIST…as did VONETTE.  Bill Bright founded the famous “Campus Crusade For Christ ” ministry, with chapters on MANY MANY college campuses both nationally and internationally.

Yes I remember HER !

How co-founder of Campus Crusade for Christ came to know Jesus

By Mark Ellis

Vonette in college

Vonette Zachary grew up thinking she was a Christian, she maintained high moral standards for herself in college, but there was one thing she lacked – a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The eldest of four children, she grew up in a happy, quintessentially American home in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Her church background motivated her to strive for goodness and moral purity. But in college, her confidence in Christianity faltered and she began to question her faith.

“My prayers seemed shallow and ineffective. In high school, my major interest centered on church-related activities, but in those early days of college, Bible reading was meaningless. Doubts came, and I was not faithful in church attendance,” she wrote later.

One day after her freshman year in college, she received a letter from a former classmate from her hometown in Oklahoma, Bill Bright. “I remembered him from our school days and was impressed by a speech I had heard him deliver when I was in the seventh grade.”

Bill was establishing himself in business in California, and his stationery read “Bright’s California Confections.” Vonette read the letter several times before she shared it with her father.

When her father read it, he said, “Well, our hometown boy has gone away and made good. Now he’s going to come home for his bride.”

Surprisingly, she decided not to respond to his letter! “I decided I would not allow William R. Bright to think I was thrilled to hear from him, so I ignored the letter.”

A forgotten letter

Months went by and she resumed her college classes. But as she cleaned out a desk drawer one day she rediscovered the letter.

After she told her roommate about the curious young man from her hometown, the roommate insisted she should write to him.

She hadn’t seen Bill in three years, but she spent that evening writing a 10-page response to his original missive.

“That was the beginning of a beautiful romance in which the correspondence flourished as we began to write daily. I received flowers, candy, a telegram or telephone call every week. My long-distance courtship became the talk of campus. I was truly swept off my feet,” she recounted.

When Bill came to visit, they had a delightful time together and Bill quickly brought matters to a head. “After talking about what had happened in the years since we had seen each other, Bill proposed marriage, and I accepted.”

But soon it became apparent to both that Vonette did not share Bill’s passionate faith in Jesus. “As we continued our relationship over the next three years, many spiritual questions plagued me. Bill had a deep religious faith. He sent me passages of Scripture to read, but they just did not have the same meaning to me as they did to him. He would also ask me to pray about concerns. I began to realize I was engaged to a man to whom Christ meant a great deal, and yet He was not real to me.”

“I decided Bill had become a religious fanatic and that somehow he must be rescued from this fanaticism. At the same time, Bill was beginning to think that perhaps I was not a Christian. He knew he could not marry me until there was a change in my spiritual life,” she noted.

Nagging doubts

When Vonette graduated from college she was already engaged to Bill, but doubts about the relationship continued to plague her thoughts.

Then Bill invited Vonette to travel to California for a Christian conference. “My parents were opposed to me going, even though our engagement had been announced and the marriage was planned for September,” she recalled.

As she walked across the stage to receive her degree, she decided she would accept Bill’s invite to California. “My motive was to save Bill from the influence of those I considered fanatics. Unknown to me, Bill’s motive was for me to find Christ.”

After her arrival in L.A., they went to the college conference at Forest Home, a Christian conference center in the Southern California foothills.

Vonette was surprised to meet many on-fire Christians. “I met young people who possessed a quality of life I had never seen. They vibrantly shared their faith. Their statements annoyed me because I felt that Christianity was something personal that you didn’t freely discuss. I tried to put their comments out of my mind, yet I admired them and liked their quality of life.

Afterward, as they discussed the difference in these young people, Vonette came to the sad conclusion that Bill’s faith was right for him, but it wouldn’t work for her.

“I knew I did not want to stand in the way of his relationship with God, so I concluded that perhaps the best thing to do was simply bow out of his life. At the end of the week, I would return his ring and we would go our separate ways,” she decided.

Henrietta Mears

But he was not ready to give up easily. Bill had a secret weapon in his arsenal – he arranged for Vonette to meet with Dr. Henrietta Mears, the highly impactful and inspirational leader of the 6,000-member Sunday school at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood.

“Miss Mears was expecting me, and what I did not know was that the entire staff was praying for me. Miss Mears explained that she had taught chemistry in Minneapolis and that she could understand how I was thinking. I had minored in chemistry in college, so everything had to be practical and logical to me,” she wrote.

Mears told Vonette that God loved her, and if she was the only person in the entire world, He would have done everything He could to make Himself known to her.

“God has a plan and purpose for you that is far beyond anything you can possibly imagine,” she said. “But before you can know that plan and purpose, it is necessary for you to know God.”

Mears said the reason man does not know God is that he is sinful and separated from God. Speak for yourself, Vonnete thought to herself. That doesn’t apply to me. I’ve worked at this business of being a good girl.

Then Mears showed her Romans 3:23: “All have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Mears explained that sin is falling short of God’s perfect standard and breaking His rules for living.

“I had to admit that I fell short of this standard—and even my own standard—many times. Vonette had been striving ‘desperately’ to be a good person.

Next Mears read Romans 6:23: “The wages [result] of sin [falling short of God’s standard] is death [spiritual separation from God], but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Then Miss Mears read John 14:6, where Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

Vonette realized that her attempts to live a good life, keep a high moral standard, and attend church fell short. In spite of these things, there was still something missing in her life.

“I admitted that perhaps Jesus Christ was the ‘ingredient’ I was missing. I turned to Miss Mears and asked, “If Jesus Christ is the way, then how can I know Him?”

Mears responded, “In Revelation 3:20 Christ says, ‘Look! Here I stand at the door [entrance to your heart and life] and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends.’ Receiving Christ is a matter of turning your life completely over to Him—your will, emotions, intellect. It is as if we walk out of our lives and Jesus Christ walks in. He takes control.”

Vonette suddenly realized that if what she said was true, she had nothing to lose and everything to gain by following Jesus. “I bowed my head to pray and asked Jesus to come in to my heart and take control. At that moment, God became a reality in my life.”

Immediately after she received Christ, God gave her a remarkable dream.

“The picture that came to my mind was one I shall never forget. I was standing in utter darkness on the edge of a diving board. (I do not swim; as a matter of fact, I almost lost my life in a swimming course in college. I passed the course but have not jumped off a diving board since.) In the dream, I did not know whether or not I could swim, but I knew I had to jump—and I found out that I could swim and that God is real! I gave Him all my trust, and He didn’t fail me.”

Vonette began to notice striking changes after she was born again and became a new creature in Christ.

“God’s direction in my life became a reality as I found my strong will and temper easier to control. The Bible

Bill and Vonette’s wedding

became a living Book and a guide for my life. I could not have imagined how the decision I had made would impact the rest of my life, but it has and is continuing to be the greatest influence,” she wrote later.

Bill and Vonette were married a short time later, and their great adventure began.

Soon after the nuptials, Vonette was awakened by Bill with tears streaming down his face. He told her he decided to quit seminary only a month before graduation, sell their yellow convertible and his businesses, and spend the rest of his life telling others about Jesus.

God had given him a vision to launch Campus Crusade for Christ. Still groggy, Vonette said, “Bill, I think you’re overreacting.”

Unsure of this new calling Vonette prayed, If Bill is right, and this is right, I pray that You will give me a heart to respond.

Starting Campus Crusade for Christ

“I sensed an invisible altar waiting somewhere ahead. Gradually, the Lord Jesus answered my prayer and I became willing to put my sacrifices on that altar—my master’s degree, my career, my book manuscript.”

Bill and Vonette’s new ministry was bathed in prayer. “Bill and I recruited everyone we could think of to serve as prayer partners. We worked to fill every [15-minute slot] and have around-the-clock prayer. We wanted to know that someone, somewhere was uniting in prayer for this ministry. Campus Crusade was born in prayer and prayer is still our lifeline.”

Soon the Bright family grew to include Zac and Brad. The ministry grew to campuses across the country and launched internationally. In 1965, Bill wrote a little tract originally called, “Have You Heard of the Four Spiritual Laws?”

This small yellow booklet has been translated into more than 200 languages.

Campus Crusade grew to more than 100 countries and launched more ministries like Athletes in Action and The JESUS Film Project.

In 1988, Vonette introduced legislation for the National Day of Prayer, signed by President Ronald Reagan. She

With their sons, Zac and Brad

served on the National Day of Prayer Task Force from 1982 until 1990.

“I know beyond a doubt that God moved upon my heart with the realization that through united, specific and earnest prayer, we can move the hand of God and have a part in helping change the world.”

Thanks to Vonette’s efforts, today tens of thousands of events are held nationwide for the National Day of Prayer.

In 1993, Vonette launched Women Today International and its radio program, now aired on more than 486 stations.

In 2003, after a valiant fight with lung disease, Bill was called home. Vonette carried on their commitment to helping fulfill the Great Commission until she joined her beloved Bill and her awaiting Savior December 23, 2015.

Left Behind-The Kids: ESCAPE TO MASADA Chapter 4 – Knesset Conflict

Vicki held her breath. The only light in the garage came from the reflection of the red taillights, which cast an eerie glow about the room. Manny held up a hand for quiet and Mark turned. Vicki had been through many scrapes with Mark, but she had never seen him this frightened.

The siren grew louder, wailing and warbling, until it screamed outside the building. It surged, then quickly subsided as the car flew past the building.

“Stay where you are,” Manny whispered. “We have to make sure they’re not coming back.”

The phone rang and Mark handed it to Manny. “It’s for you.”

Manny answered and listened. After a few moments he said something in Spanish, hung up, and turned to Mark and Vicki. “The squad car is gone, but I’m afraid we have another problem.”

“Who were you talking to?” Vicki asked.

“Hector. There’s an observation room in the top floor –”

Before Manny could finish, a door opened and a shaft of light pierced the darkness. Vicki noticed a rickety staircase in front of them. A man stepped onto the landing above and pointed a gun. “Get out slowly,” he said.

**********

Lionel rushed to the waiting cars behind a wave of Orthodox Jews, who had neither the market Carpathia nor the mark of God. Operation Eagle members waved people farther back, filling up vans, cars, and trucks. One man had brought several ancient school buses, and people filled them in minutes.

“Lionel!” someone yelled from atop a Humvee ahead. At first, Lionel thought it might be Judd, but as he moved closer he saw Westin Jakes.

Westin jumped down and Lionel introduced Sam.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-8

Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to [a]walk and please God (just as you actually do [b]walk), that you excel still more. For you know what commandments we gave you [c]by the authority of the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from [d]sexual immorality; thateach of you know how to [e]possess his own [f]vessel in sanctification and honor, not in [g]lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God; and that no man transgress and defraud his brotherin the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you. For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but [h]in sanctification. So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.

VICKI looked at Mark’s prediction on the computer. Though she was never that good at math, his numbers seemed right. At dinner she announced an all-out effort to store fuel. “We have enough food to keep us going a few months,” Vicki said, “but if Mark is right about what’s coming, we need to insulate the problem areas and get more fuel.”

“What fuel?” Janie asked.

“Firewood,” Vicki answered, “enough to last a couple months.”

Janie sighed. “Thought I was done with grunt labor when I escaped the GC camp.”

Vicki ignored her. “Conrad, I need you to coordinate the around-the-clock GC lookout from the tower.”

“Already done,” Conrad said. “We do three eight-hour shifts. Shelly’s up there right now.”

“Any luck with the box?” Vicki asked.

Conrad shook his head. “I’ve broken three saw blades on it so far.”

“It’ll have to take a backseat to this,” Vicki said. “As a matter of fact, we’ll have to postpone classes, too.”

“What happens if his predictions don’t come true?” Melinda wanted to know. “We’re already into spring. Summer’s not far away. How’s it going to get that cold this time of year?”

“Yeah,” Janie said, “we could work our tails off for nothing.”

Mark scowled. “Dr. Ben-Judah’s been predicting stuff since the GC made their treaty with Israel. He hasn’t been wrong yet.”

judd was crushed by the deaths of Taylor and Hasina. He wanted to call the media and tell them the truth about what happened, but he knew the media was controlled by Nicolae Carpathia. A sense of despair set in. Not only had they lost two friends, but they had also lost their best chance of getting home. Judd went to his room and tried to sleep, but couldn’t. He composed an e-mail and sent it to Conrad, then fixed a cup of coffee. His father had been a big-time coffee drinker, but his mother had warned Judd not to start. In his senior year he had pulled several all-nighters with nothing but sheer willpower and a thermos filled with coffee. Now, as Judd held the hot cup and thought about his family, it seemed like two different lives. Only a little more than two years had passed since the vanishings. In those two years his life had turned upside down. Nothing was constant. He seemed to always be on the run.

Left Behind: Book 5 – Apollyon Chapters 2, 3, 4,

Rayford had a lot in common with Ken Ritz and found him fascinating. Distraught over his own future—and income—and fearful of what he might learn about his late wife, Rayford nonetheless enjoyed Ken’s company. More than ten years his senior, Ken was former military, gruff, to the point, and aglow in what Tsion Ben-Judah called his “first love” of Christ. Rayford and Ken spent hours in the air on the way home bringing each other up to date on their pasts, and Rayford silently thanked God for a new friend. His relationship with Tsion was as student to mentor. To Buck he was the father-in-law. How he missed Bruce Barnes, his first friend and spiritual guide after the Rapture! Ken seemed a gift from God. Ritz assured Rayford he could learn the Gulfstream in no time.

“You guys who drive the heavies can handle these skiffs like a bike racer goin’ back to a trike.” “I wish it were that easy,” Rayford said, “but I’ll count on you for driver’s training.” “Roger. And, man, with your replacement there for Carpathia—what’s his name again?” “Mac. Mac McCullum.” “Yeah. He gives us three pilots in the Trib Force. And, man, with your replacement there for Carpathia—what’s his name again?” “Mac. Mac McCullum.” “Yeah. He gives us three pilots in the Trib Force. Now we gotta talk Sawbones into gettin’ out of that GC hospital before they catch onto him. That’ll give us a doctor. So, three pilots, a doc, and a rabbi—sounds like the start of a joke. The only member without a specialty is your daughter, and she’s what I call the voice of reason. Nobody’s more reasonable than Tsion, of course, but Chloe’s the voice of reason for guys like me who don’t understand everything the scholar says.”

Left Behind Marathon! Completes all of Soul Harvest and starts Apolyon

Buck slipped back into Chloe’s room, desperate to let her know he was there and she was safe.

He could hardly bear to look at her black and purple face with the eye is so swollen. He gently took her hand and leaned close, “Chloe, I’m here, and I won’t let anything happen to you. But I need your help. Squeeze my hand. Blink. Let me know you’re with me.”

No response. Buck lay his cheek on her pillow, his lips inches from her ear. “Oh, God,” he prayed, “why couldn’t you have let this happen to me? Why her? Help me get her out of here, God, please!”

Her hand felt like a feather, and she seemed fragile as a newborn. What a contrast to the strong woman he had loved and come to know. She was normally fearless, but she was also smart. How he wished she was up to being his ally in this.

Chloe’s breathing accelerated, and Buck opened his eyes as a tear slid past her ear. He looked her in the face. She blinked furiously, and he wondered if she was trying to communicate. “I’m here,” he said over and over. “Chloe, it’s Buck.”

The GC guard had been gone too long. Buck prayed he was out there waiting with the marker but too intimidated to knock. Otherwise, who knew whom he might bring with them and what might squash any chance Buck had to protect Chloe.

He spoke quickly. “Sweetheart, I don’t know if you can hear me, but try to concentrate. I’m switching your name with the woman’s in the other bed. Her name is Ashton. And I’m pretending to be your doctor. Okay? Can you grasp that?”

Buck waited, hoping. Finally, a flicker.

Left Behind- The Kids: Battling The Commander Chs. 4&5 Conrad and the Commander, Lionel’s Run

The next morning a different guard returned for Conrad. Darrion had been gone all night.

“Don’t believe anything he says,” Mr. Stein yelled as the man led Conrad away.

Melinda and Felicia waited outside the interview room and scowled when Conrad sat beside them.

“I wanted to tell you guys what was up, but I didn’t want to blow my cover,” Conrad said.

“What are you talking about?” Melinda asked.

“The commander put me down there so I could listen to those to talk,” he said. “I got what he wanted.”

“I don’t believe you,” Felicia said. “You’re one of them.”

“I was just as surprised as you when Lionel turned up dirty.”

The girls turned away.

“I need your help,” Conrad said, moving where he could see them. “I’m going to catch Lionel, the girl, and that other guy.”

The door opened. Commander Blanca came outside. “What is this, Graham?”

“Commander, Sir, I figured since I was innocent, you put me in with the others to spy. It worked.”

The commander cleared his throat. “I didn’t. I mean… what did you find out?”

“Darrion’s definitely one of them, sir,” Conrad answered.

“We’ve had someone talking to her all night,” the commander said. “She says she doesn’t know them.”

“If it’s all right with you, I’d like to see the look on her face when I tell you the whole story,” Conrad said.

The commander motioned the three inside. Darrion looked exhausted. Her eyes were puffy and red. The commander probably talked about her parents, Conrad thought.

Conrad knew this would be the tough part. If he could convince the commander he wasn’t partners with the others, he had a chance to get Darrion and Mr. Stein out.

Left Behind the Kids: Battling the Commander, Chs. 1,2&3

Lionel used two sleeping pills to put Melinda to sleep on the cot in jail where Vicki was supposed to be sleeping. Both of them have now escaped the jail and are with Judd at the Stahley’s house. But you can be sure the two of them, as well as Judd, will be hunted even more intensely now by Commander Blanca and the Global Police. Meanwhile, Lionel’s friend Chad has stayed at the jail with the Commander, still posing as if he were on the Commander’s side. To make matters worse, Darrion has been arrested by the Global Police while on her way to try to rescue Vicki. Ray begins now the 15th book of the Left Behind–The Kids, novels that are written by Jerry B Jenkins and Tim LaHaye.

Judd Thompson Jr. and the rest of the Young Tribulation Force are in danger. Global Community Commander Blancka and Morale Monitors Felicia and Melinda are after Judd and his friend Vicki Byrne.

When Judd and Vicki are swept into a river, a GC helicopter captures Vicki, but Judd escapes.

While Most of the Young Trib Force meet in the underground hideout at the Stahley mansion, Vicki is questioned by the Global Community. Mitchell Stein, a Jewish businessman friend, helps her plead her case before Commander Blancka. Before the commander can make a decision about Vicki’s fate, Lionel Washington and his friend Conrad Graham whisk Vicki away from the GC jail. Conrad remain with the GC as Lionel rushes Vicki to the hideout.

Not knowing Lionel’s plan, Darrion Stahley attempts her own rescue of Vicki and is caught by the GC. The next morning Conrad and Mr. Stein are suspected in Vicki’s disappearance.

The kids must decide whether to run, hide, or face their enemy.

Life After Death & Heaven and Hell: You in the Afterlife

Ray is about to share his favorite part of this book. He is actually dividing it into two parts, and you will not want to miss either of them. In this edition the book will answer: What will your body be like in Heaven? What would your home be like in Heaven? What work will you do in Heaven? What will your relationships be like with others in Heaven? How will the things you have done on Earth affect your life in Heaven? Are the rewards given in Heaven? If you have had a bad attitude here on Earth what will your attitude be like in Heaven?

Take Time With God # 98 – Which Bible should you use?

Take Time With God # 98 – Which Bible should you use?

In a recent survey among Christians of all denominations it concluded that nearly half of Bible readers read from the King James Bible. But is that really the best Bible for you to read? How would you know which one is the best one for you? Ray will answer that for you right now.

If you have died with Christ [a]to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as,21 “Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!” 22 (which all refer to things destined to perish [b]with use)—in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men? 23 These are matters which have, to be sure, the[c]appearance of wisdom in [d]self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence.
